    Hell yeah! I ended up caving and going to McDonalds. Saw a guy there that looks exactly like my coworker, but with a less-deep voice. I'll have to ask if he has a second job.

    Listening to the mix again, it's not bad, but I'm definitely gonna seek a second opinion over it, because I'm burnt out. I made a complete mix back when I first finished it but I don't know where I put the damn file so I can see exactly what I did with it.

    So here's my dilemma right now. I definitely want Maki's English in both AI and Standard. It would cost me more to buy them as downloads than to buy her box since I'm an established customer with AHS, so I'll likely get her box. However! I'm not entirely sure whether I want her Japanese AI or just Standard. I'd feel very odd buying a box for one language and not getting a box for the other, not when they're clearly meant to be together. But again, if I did get her Standard as a download and decided I want AI in the future, it'd be more expensive to buy her AI separate than to just drop the ball and get her box. But all together, they're nearly $400.

    My thought... well, my thought is to just pre-order one now and then pre-order the other after my next paycheck, so long as I check and I'm looking good financially? That way I'm not having to live off of $50 for the next week. That'd probably be the smartest thing.

    God, sometimes I hate actually liking VBs, because they cost so much. 😅

    I'm gonna try something different: setting my alarm for 8:30 on my day off tomorrow and going to the farmer's market! There's a massive series of garage sales going on in our local Ultra Rich Community, but whether I have the strength to attempt that without taking a nap first remains to be seen.

    I didn't get Matcha; Patuk got her for me! I've quietly wanted her for a while but haven't had the nerve to commit, so yesterday (as I didn't really wanna celebrate my birthday on the actual day, since we were both quite busy) she lets me know she's got a little gift for me, whenever I'm ready~

    I adore her so far! I intended to P&P her to test her capabilities, but I've spent the past half hour working in earnest with her. Oh, she's beautiful. Very smooth, with lovely lows and mids, wonderful reaction to Exciter, super, super responsive... hmm. I think she's kinda like a toned-down Nemu in that they're both super HQ, but her nasally qualities are much more subtle. I 100% recommend her!

    I pooled my birthday earnings and made The Ultimate Splurge: the air fryer of my dreams! Farewell to the 3qt air fryer my mom has that struggles to fit two slices of garlic toast at a time. Hello unlimited meal and snacking potential!

    My kitchen hasn't been updated since sometime in the 80s, so a modern air fryer will be so much more cost-effective to run than the old oven. I'm so happy!

    I’ve got a mystery package on the way.

    I’ve been receiving updates the past few days, but I ignored them because I figured it was spam mail. I haven’t ordered anything through USPS that I haven’t already received. But I finally checked today, and it’s… something from Amazon? I’m gonna try getting to the bottom of this and seeing what’s going on, but honestly, I’m baffled.

    I’d blame it on a drunk order, but I haven’t been drunk in a while. Maybe I ordered a back order item last time I was and it’s just now shipping out…?

    i have gotten mystery amazon gifts in the mail a few times before. they were things off my wishlist so i had assumed they were gifts, but there were no notes with them lol. but i mean hey, like parallax said, if it isn't ticking then no harm in getting free stuff! :clara_ani_lili:

    This kinda reminds me of one time where I ordered cans of compressed air (to clean my keyboard) from Amazon, but received a free giant plastic box with the cans. I didn't order a box with it, nor did the order ask me if I wanted a box. I was gonna drop an email to either the seller or Amazon about the free massive box, but my brother pinched it very quickly for work, so I never figured out the box mystery. ^^;

    I wanted to thank everyone again for the birthday wishes; your wishes carried me far, and today was a wonderful day! Work was nice and busy, but easy, and my Print manager got me a Dr. Pepper and an 8-pack box of Ritz peanut butter crackers; the last two hours, we had some nasty weather, and since it was so slow the coworker I closed with ordered pizza for me, him, and our closing manager in celebration (and he got me TWO Dr. Peppers)! Then, driving home, I saw the biggest and clearest rainbow I've seen in several years. Damn-near something you'd see in a movie.

    So today was a much better day than I was anticipating. And it gives me renewed optimism for tomorrow!
