  • Shoutout to Neopets for undergoing zero change since the last time I logged in circ. 2015. Except for the countless features and games that are now broken beyond repair since Flash is dead.

I can at least get to all of the dead games through the Pale Moon browser, but that's about it. :clara_ani_lili:
Fooooo... okay. I'm drained from vocalsynths, I think, and that's the issue. Worthless Peach February was followed by three covers in March, one of which I removed a week after premiering it, and I have a handful of covers well in the works, as well as one that's completed and being given a video by Patuk. That seems like a good place to leave off for the time being.

I'll take a break from synths, as well as buying them, and try my best to come back shortly; if I try to force anything, I'm just going to burn out even harder.

On the bright side! In spite of being really worn out, I finally got my hair cut today (and splurged on a shampooing as well... I damn-near fell asleep in the chair, ngl), so I'm going to reward myself by buying the new BokuMono Saturday and just having fun for a while!
Well, I've just realized that the BokuMono website features image comps of each game's marriage candidates, and I'm also just now realizing that Hinata is literally half Ford's size. I knew Ford was tall and Hinata was fairly short, but I didn't realize it was this severe, holy shit.

To give y'all an idea of how deeply drained I am: the new BokuMono game came out two days ago. I never got around to preordering it. I'd like to buy it when I get my next paycheck, but I also feel like I won't have time to play it between work and sleep anyway, so I have no particular motivation to do so.

BokuMono. I don't have the energy for BokuMono. And not just general BokuMono, but the first non-remake release in four years. (Five if we're going by the Japanese release date.)

On the bright side, after many months of struggling with my piece-of-crap mouse, I finally splurged on a new one! It's odd, but I love it~

That mouse looks so cool! I bought this one last year, but the one you linked looks much more comfortable.

Our HP representative has been harping on us for not using the SellPro app, so I've been diving into it to shut him up, and I've learned so much about our tech products as a result! I may work Print and Register primarily, but this is still good knowledge to have.

There was a whole lesson on Logitech's Ergo line, and I was like "That's it. That looks perfect. I've gotta have it."
As we roll into April, I wanna remind everyone that, if you intend to observe Autism Awareness Month, do so with respect and understanding of the autistic viewpoint!
    • Autism Speaks views autism as a disease and autistic people as sub-human. They donate pennies per every thousands they make to organizations aimed to help autistic people while handsomely paying their own staff and brand (and, by the way, they don't view us as competent to serve on their board, meaning an organization that's supposed to bring awareness and understanding towards this disorder is led entirely by... people who don't have it.)

    • Please don't represent us with the puzzle piece. The puzzle piece was presented as our "symbol" to represent that we're missing a piece of what makes us whole, and the incomplete puzzle of our existence will be at last solved when we're "cured." (Autism being a neurological disability, y'know what the cure is? Death. That's it. That's the fucking cure.)

    • Don't Light It Up Blue. Again, that's associated with Autism Speaks, who we want nothing to do with.

    • If the details are a bit much, just remember the following mantras:
      • Autism Speaks doesn't speak for us.
      • Nothing about us, without us.

    • With that said, what do we recommend instead of Autism Speaks? The Autism Self-Advocacy Network is a wonderful organization to support! Here's some more to support (and avoid) for better visualization.

If you've made it this far, thank you so much for listening! And have a happy, responsible Autism Awareness Month.

As a autistic Brit, I can concur that the National Autistic Society depicted in the image is pretty hopeless. 😛 Like Autism Speaks, it's an organisation set up by neurotypicals for neurotypicals, but admittedly, they're nowhere near as aggressive as AS when it comes to curebie nonsense.

a: woah peaches you're autistic too?
b: autism speaks grrr :cul_lili: *shakes fist at autism speaks*
Okay, so! My covers will STRICTLY follow this order, more or less, so I can stop bouncing between them aimlessly and get something done!
    1. The Detective Loupe (Fukase and three more-or-less decided-on speaking roles)
Estimated completion: next week, if I buckle down

    2. Rikka cover (I keep going back and forth between an updated Love Disease cover and Renraku Madaa and can't make up my mind... any preferences?)
Estimated completion: well, when I can figure out what the hell I wanna do... I can have it done in two days, three at most.

    3. Clara and Maika duet
Estimated completion: it's a song I'm extremely familiar with, just dubbed into Spanish, so it shouldn't take too long? The tuning on the other hand... I dunno, two weeks, start to finish?

And all else will just be for fun and distraction until those three are finished. That oughta give me four covers to publish in the next month, granted Patuk finishes the video for my Kiyoteru cover by then. (There's no rush of course sweetie! You're doing so good and I know I'll love it 🥺🥺 🥺

...seriously. What would y'all rather hear Rikka in? Because I can't lean one way or the other.
Hmm... who next? Should I finally fulfill my goal of getting Sachiko? Should I continue forward with my Medium5 collection, starting perhaps with Shian? Should I jump ahead and nab Akari? The possibilities are endless~

I love her but Sachiko's vowels are extremely harsh. She would be perfect for screemo vocals though.

I know Sachiko's not an easy 'loid to work with! I mean, she was made for enka. Nevertheless, I adore her heavily.
Hhhhh... anyone have any tips for EQing this boy? No matter what I try he sounds like he has cotton stuffed in his mouth.

Who the absolute hell recommended Fukase for beginners? This boy is Problematic with a capital P. I'm not sure whether I enjoy using him because of that or in spite of it.

Fun fact: when I decided I wanted to get into Vocaloid, I heavily considered getting him, since he was recommended for beginners and came with both Japanese and an acclaimed English bank. I'm quite glad I saved him for later; I would've quickly lost heart had I used him very early on.
I don’t quite feel All There today. It’s almost like I’m floating, detached from all but a distinct feeling of dread deep in my stomach. It makes my stomach hurt and makes me short of breath. I had a few panic attacks last night, but I was kinda hoping they wouldn’t carry over to today. orz

Well, here’s hoping it’s still a good day!
